The Fenway...The same thing is happening in Boston. The Fenway neighborhood, a wonderfully diverse community is rapidly becoming overpriced due to accelerating development over the Mas. Pike Extension and around an expanding Fenway Park.<br /><br />South Boston, the same thing: the development is so rapid that the City now realizes developers are creating a public transportation crisis. Among the tactics for crowding large numbers of people into small spaces (literally) is the construction of buildings with the Japanese-style mini-apartments in a bid to keep young professionals in Boston at a rent like something they can afford. But there may bot be transportation to get them to their jobs.<br /><br />Just north of Boston, Somerville, one of the last bastions of middle class and working class rentals, now realizes it has become too chic and is worried that its core population is being forced out.<br /><br />I have no idea how so many people have such money while the poor are becoming an ever growing percentage of the population, but there are people for all these super-priced apartments and condos.Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14279473113628377106noreply@blogger.com
